MARNI SS23 - NEW YORK
For their first show outside of Milan, Marni moved its new collection debut to New York City to present an atmospheric sun-filled energy collection underneath the iconic Manhattan Bridge in Dumbo, Brooklyn.
In collaboration with Creative Director Babak Radboy and musician Dev Hynes, the historical arches made for a resounding background that set the tone for the upcoming season. With the help of the String Orchestra of Brooklyn, Dev Hynes performed a dramatic piece to accompany the models as they walked down the runway. Audiences were also treated to a special performance by Marni’s Creative Director, Francesco Risso, who immersed himself as a cello player in the orchestra, breaking down “the fourth wall” between the untouchable show and the audience.
