PRADA, DOUBLE CLUB - MIAMI
In December 2017, a decade after its inception, Fondazione Prada and Carsten Höller revisited the concept of the Double Club during Miami Art Basel. This second iteration coincided with the opening of a new Prada concept store in the Design District.
The exploration of bipolarity which is at the heart of the Double Club experience took the form of a three-night pop-up, executed with painstaking attention to detail, both aesthetically and experientially.
Inside, visitors experienced an entirely monochromatic club with a Western contemporary electronica bias. Outside saw a hyper-polychromatic, psychedelic visual experience, and a multicultural Miami-centric line-up. The event was highly acclaimed, and 6,000 guests attended over the course of three nights.
