SWAROVSKI, MASTERS OF LIGHT - SHANGHAI
Swarovski, renowned for its brilliance and crystal elegance, recently opened its first brand exhibition, titled 'Masters of Light,' at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Shanghai.
Curated by fashion critic Alexander Fury, the exhibition showcases Swarovski's impact on the world of fashion through over 60 crystal-adorned couture pieces spanning its artistic history.
'Masters of Light' features gemstone-studded creations from designers like Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton. Beyond fashion, the exhibition explores Swarovski's influence on pop culture, displaying stage costumes and red-carpet outfits worn by celebrities such as Harry Styles, Rihanna, Christina Aguilera, and Marilyn Monroe.
The exhibition is divided into seven themed "Chambers of Wonder," offering a journey from Swarovski's beginnings in 19th-century Vienna to its present-day crystal empire. One notable section is the 'Diamonds of the Future,' highlighting Swarovski's new fine jewelry collection curated by creative director Giovanna Engelbert.
