SWAROVSKI: MASTERS OF LIGHT - MILAN

Following its opening in Shanghai, Swarovski’s exhibition “Swarovski — Masters of Light" made its European debut at Palazzo Citterio in Milan. Conceived by Creative Director Giovanna Engelbert and co-curated by Alexander Fury, the exhibition celebrates 130 years of the brand’s heritage and its profound influence on fashion, pop culture, and jewelry.

The exhibition is divided into seven key themes, tracing Swarovski's journey from its beginnings in 19th-century Vienna to the present day. It highlights collaborations with major fashion houses and pop icons, showcasing over 50 crystal-embellished outfits designed by Prada, Miu Miu, Fendi Couture, Gucci, Atelier Versace, Armani Privé by Giorgio Armani, Alexander McQueen, Louis Vuitton, Thierry Mugler Couture, and Vivienne Westwood.

A new theme was introduced to the Milanese iteration: "Mathemagical," dedicated to Swarovski’s expertise in crystal making and jewelry artistry. This section showcased couture jewelry pieces by Giovanna Engelbert, specifically designed for this year’s Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala in New York.
